Come and sit on this bench with me here!

Many years ago, I set up a blog which featured all the benches I found with particularly moving plaques or which were beautiful or interesting in some way.

You can still read it here – it’s called A Quiet Sit Down because when my son was very little, he once came back from his granny’s house and every time he spotted a bench afterwards, he’d say, ‘let’s have a nice sit down’. He thought it was just what you did whenever you saw a bench, but I knew that he’d probably been exhausting!

Now I’m streamlining things, and it makes sense to pop my benches on here as they are definitely help me with writing in the garden! I hope you will enjoy them, and of course, do send me any benches you find that you’d like to feature here. I’d love to see them and to hear any stories you may have!
